Vision-Aid Charitable Services Society (Vision-Aid) is a registered non-profit organization with its headquarters in Visakhapatnam, Andhra Pradesh. Vision-Aid's mission is to Enable, Educate and Empower persons with vision-related disabilities so that they can live with independence and dignity. Founded in 2004, Vision-Aid has been providing vision rehabilitation services as well as training programs and assistive devices in India to level the playing field for the visually challenged, facilitating equitable access to help them reach their full potential.
Annual Reports 2023
Vision-Aid had a stellar year in 2023. For the first time since inception, the overall reach of our programs exceeded 20,000 beneficiaries across India. We continued to remain focused on our core objective of enabling, educating and empowering the visually impaired (VI) community, by setting up new low vision resource centers, launching new training programs, bringing renewed focus to our placement initiative, strengthening our blind school programs and so on.

Year 2022 in a lot of ways was also a year which focused on stabilizing our core operations. We brought in a lot of standardization, automation and process efficiency in our core areas such as the Training function and the programs we run in collaboration with our partners in India. We continued to see increased demand for our virtual training programs. In Year 2022, we offered 12 different training programs with a total enrolment of 528 students. This was about a 40% jump in student enrolment from Year 2021.
