The numbers speak for themselves. This collaboration has brought hope for many a visually impaired, and SCEH has been a Partner through who Vision-Aid has made a deep impact in many lives.



THE PARTNERSHIP AND OUR PROGRAMS
Vision-Aid pioneered the establishment of the Vision Resource Center at Dr. Shroff’s Charity Eye Hospital in January 2020. A new dedicated building for the Computer Lab was inaugurated by Shri Ram Gupta and Mrs. Meetu Gupta on their recent trip to Delhi in September 2022
The various services offered are computer training, braille training, orientation and mobility training (O&M), assistive technology training, visual skills and device use training and counselling services to enable, educate and empower the visually impaired. More resources to the Visually impaired will be offered as needed.


The low vision clinic at Dr. Shroff’s Eye Hospital serves over 500 visually impaired patients who come from under-privileged and rural backgrounds through various programmes of Vision-Aid.
Corrective eye glasses are offered on-site to poor patients free of cost.
Patients are offered world class devices at subsidised costs which were not available before.
Dr. Shroff’s Charity Eye Hospital has distributed Smartphones to underprivileged bright students as part of Vision-Aid-TFL programme.
Smart Vision Glasses were successfully launched at Dr. Shroff’s Charity Eye Hospital in July 2022 with participation of various eye professionals.
YEAR 2022
SCREENING & ASSESSMENT IN PICTURES
Screening and assessment of low vision children planned at the JPM SCHOOL FOR BLIND, DELHI (BLIND RELIEF ASSOCIATION). A total of 86 children were screened and 23 children were given Glasses and Low Vision Devices)

SMART VISION GLASSES & SMARTPHONE DISTRIBUTION IN PICTURES
Smart Vision Glasses & Smartphone were distributed to visually impaired beneficiaries.

YEAR 2021
Celebration of International Day of Persons with Disabilities – December 3rd was marked by 2 major events.
SMARTPHONE DISTRIBUTION IN PICTURES:
Visually impaired individuals who are unable to purchase smartphone due to the non-affordability, received smart phones sponsored by Vision Aid. All the beneficiaries were enrolled in the Mobile App training program.




CERTIFICATION CEREMONY:
Visually challenged students who completed their computer course from Shri Lachhman Dass Gupta Vision Aid Resource Center (“Ujaala” training center,) also received certificate on this special day.
SHORT-TERM TRAINING IN PICTURES
Optometrists at the SCEH completed ‘Short Term Training in Low Vision’ at the LV Prasad Eye Institute Hyderabad. The training was sponsored by Vision Aid.
