Vision-Aid is excited to announce the inauguration of the Vision-Aid and L.V. Prasad Eye Institute (LVPEI) Center for Cortical Visual Impairment (CVI) in Bhubaneswar. Recognized as the leading cause of childhood blindness in India, CVI presents a critical challenge that this new center aims to address.
In partnership with the esteemed LVPEI, Vision-Aid is committed to serving the needs of children and infants across the broader Odisha region. This collaboration marks a significant advancement in eye care and vision rehabilitation services, promising to enhance the lives of many in the community.

The newly established CVI center is dedicated to progressing research, education, and innovative solutions for individuals with visual impairments. By merging Vision-Aid’s commitment to inclusive vision care with LVPEI’s exceptional expertise, this partnership aspires to transform the landscape of eye health services in the region.
The inauguration of The Manorama Choudhury Nayan Jyoti Vision-Aid CVI Resource Centre took place on February 19, 2025, at the Mithu Tulsi Chanrai Campus of LVPEI in Bhubaneshwar.
The Vision-Aid and LVPEI CVI center will not only deliver state-of-the-art eye care but also focus on training and empowering individuals to regain their independence through various rehabilitation programs. This initiative is set to make a meaningful impact on the lives of many.
By launching this resource center, we take a significant step toward expanding access to specialized care.
