The LVPEI at Vijayawada campus offers a sponsorship program for students with visual impairment and Vision-Aid sponsors for accommodation, training, and travel for these students so that training is not hampered.
Computer training statistics at LVPEI Vijayawada:
The computer training center at Vijayawada has trained around 48 students in the year 2023. In 2024, 34 students were trained till March, and the total number is gradually increasing every year, this training is continuing to support students and thereby bringing a positive outcome in their lives.

Success Story: Shaik Suhana – Breaking Barriers with Vision-Aid and LVPEI
Shaik Suhana has overcome the challenges of low vision with remarkable resilience, supported by Vision-Aid and LVPEI. Since reaching out to LVPEI Hyderabad in 2014 and moving to their Vijayawada branch in 2017, Suhana, with Vision-Aid’s financial assistance, completed intensive IT training at the LVPEI Rehabilitation Center after earning her B.Tech in 2022. She excelled in mastering the NVDA screen reader and received comprehensive training in braille, mobility, home management, personality development, and English, equipping her with crucial skills. Her perseverance and the support from Vision-Aid and LVPEI led to her securing a role as a systems engineer at Infosys. Suhana’s success underscores the transformative impact of dedicated support for individuals with visual impairments, highlighting her journey towards career success and personal independence.
Success stories: Syam Babu’s Inspiring Journey to Success
Syam Babu, from the rural village of Ambapuram in Krishna district, Andhra Pradesh, overcame considerable obstacles to achieve professional success, exemplifying resilience and determination. After a pivotal eye check-up at L V Prasad Eye Institute (LVPEI) in Vijayawada, Syam was referred to their Rehabilitation department for career-oriented training. Despite financial hardships, he was supported by Vision-Aid and LVPEI, enabling him to complete his training and eventually secure a position as a Relationship Manager at RIPEN company. Syam Babu’s journey from a challenging rural upbringing to professional success underscores the critical role of accessible healthcare and supportive services in transforming lives, serving as a powerful call to action to foster more inclusive societies.

The feedback received from the resource center trainees is overwhelming where students were enrolled and trained not just in certificate courses on computer training but also in various programs such as Digital Accessibility testing, Python programming, and banking skills / corporate skill development program (CSDP).
