Since 2022, Vision-Aid has been a dedicated partner to Jagriti Skill Development Center (SDC), offering transformative training programs such as communication skills, computer literacy, and personality development to visually impaired students. Today, we are proud to celebrate a remarkable milestone: all 12 students from Jagriti SDC who appeared for the HSC Board Exams (FY2025) have successfully passed — marking the 4th consecutive year of 100% results for the center.
Outstanding Performers
Among the achievers:
- Snehal Kachare secured the top position with 77.83%
- Swati Ingole followed with 69%
- Laxmi Gite placed third with 64.17%
These bright young minds are not just academic achievers — they are shining examples of how the right support can empower visually impaired individuals to grow and thrive through meaningful learning opportunities.
The Role of Technology in Education
In October 2023, these students received laptops sponsored by Vision-Aid and the Chellaram Foundation. Equipped with screen reader software and academic resources, these laptops became powerful tools in their exam preparation.
They enabled the students to:
- Attend online classes independently
- Access digital textbooks and audio recordings
- Practice typing and write essays
- Take mock exams and explore subject materials online
As they transition to senior college, these laptops will continue to support their academic journey and expand their digital capabilities.
