Hello everyone! My name is Khushi. I graduated in English Literature from Lady Shri Ram College for Women (LSR), and I’m a blogger and an Accessibility Tester Trainee at BarrierBreak.
Early Challenges and Educational Beginnings
I was born prematurely at 24 weeks, which resulted in Retinopathy of Prematurity (ROP) Stage 5. I have light perception in my left eye and no vision in my right eye due to a detached retina. My educational journey began with learning Braille at the National Association for the Blind, followed by mainstream schooling.
The Spark of Blogging
My real adventure started in 2018 when I discovered a disability and lifestyle blog. Inspired by the personal stories I read, I started my own blog, Blind Girl Musings. There, I write about disability, accessibility, books, life, and all sorts of quirky things that catch my interest.
Learning Through Laughter and Mishaps
Blogging has been a fantastic way to share what’s important to me and connect with others. It has also been a source of some of my funniest and most chaotic learning experiences. Whether it’s nearly gluing my fingers together while trying out crafts or struggling with eyeliner, I’m always eager to try new things.
Advancing in Accessibility
My journey took another exciting turn when I found Vision-Aid India and their courses on digital accessibility testing and ARIA (Accessible Rich Internet Applications). Their practical, hands-on approach really appealed to me, as they focus on providing real skills rather than just teaching theories.
Gratitude and Acknowledgment
I appreciate Vision-Aid India for equipping people with the tools and training to create something meaningful. This training boosted my confidence, helping me secure my current role at BarrierBreak, where I’m deepening my understanding of digital accessibility testing and striving to make the internet more inclusive.
Outside of work, I enjoy creative hobbies like knitting, crafts, and collecting interesting items. I’m also drawn to makeup, jewellery, music, and anything shiny. I love exploring and enjoying the small joys in life.

My journey has been a blend of learning, experimenting, and figuring things out along the way. I’m grateful for the support and training from Vision-Aid India, which has truly made a difference in my life.
