Creation of Vision-Aid’s National Resource Center at Aravind Eye Hospital Madurai is progressing well. Part of the building is being remodeled to house Vision-Aid National Resource center. Screening Camps for Special Schools
As part of Vision-Aid’s NRC programs, targeted screening camps are being organized for children with disabilities in special schools in and around Maduria,
Children from special schools in and around Madurai are brought to Aravind Hospital where they undergo free screening. They are provided with free devices that help them use their vision optimally. Most of them have severe visual impairment combined with other disabilities.
