Vision-Aid Congratulates Alumni for Job Placement.

Finding employment for the visually impaired has always been a challenge irrespective of which part of the world they belong to. Vision-Aid’s aim has been to help visually impaired people gain employment. 

Five visually impaired students who completed training from Vision-Aid’s Vizag centre have been able to secure full time employment. After completion of training at Vision-Aid, these candidates were selected  via the  Andhra Pradesh State Govt disabled Quota or the Combined Banks Exam for the Disabled.

VARANASI KALYANI , M.Com

Ms. Varanasi Kalyani, who suffers from total visual impairment, learnt to use computers while doing the Diploma Course in Computer Applications(DCA) at the Vizag centre.  Recently she was selected as Junior Assistant in Andhra Pradesh State B C Welfare Department.  She is currently working as District B C Welfare Officer at MVP Colony, Visakhapatnam.

Y V S SATYANARAYANA, B.A

Mr. Y V S Satyanarayana , who has low vision, underwent training at the Vizag centre and subsequently worked as an office assistant for 4 years at Vision-Aid Vizag.  He completed Certificate Course in Computer Applications(CCA) at Vision-Aid.  He is pursuing M.A through distance learning from Andhra University.   Recently he was selected as a clerk in Andhra Bank through IBPS.  He is currently employed at Andhra Bank Siripuram branch in Visakhapatnam.

DHULI APPARAO , M.A., B.Ed

Mr. Dhuli Apparao, who suffers from total visual impairment was hired as a typist by the Andhra Pradesh irrigation department. He had completed Diploma in Computer Applications at Vision-Aid ,Vizag. He is posted at the S.E office, Zilla Parishath Junction, Visakhapatnam

DEVERA KRISHNA , M.A., B.Ed

Mr. Devara Krishna has total visual impairment. He completed Diploma in Computer Applications at Vision-Aid ,Vizag.  Recently he was selected as a Probationary Officer in Andhra Bank through IBPS.  He now works at the Steel Plant branch of Andhra Bank in Visakhapatnam.

PEDIREDLA BALA SUDHAKAR , B.Tech.

Mr. Pediredla Bala Sudhakar suffers from partial vision impairment. He completed Diploma in Computer Applications at Vision-Aid ,Vizag.  Recently he was selected as Probationary Officer in Andhra Bank through IBPS.  He is posted at the Dwarakanagar Branch in Visakhapatnam.
