The Vision-Aid team is proud to share the inspiring success stories of visually impaired students who transformed their lives through determination, skill development, and placement support. In February 2026, Vision-Aid successfully supported eight visually impaired candidates in securing employment opportunities at Sutherland Global Services as Customer Support Associates.
These stories reflect the growing impact of accessible education, specialized training, assistive technology, and inclusive employment opportunities for visually impaired individuals.
Boya Govardhan: From Kurnool to Corporate Success
Meet Boya Govardhan from Kurnool, Andhra Pradesh. Born with 100 percent visual impairment, Govardhan completed his schooling from a special school in 2020. Despite the challenges associated with visual impairment, he remained committed to his education and completed his Bachelor of Commerce degree from Devnar Degree College, Hyderabad, in 2023.
After graduation, Govardhan pursued several computer courses through different NGOs to improve his technical and professional skills. During this time, he came across Vision-Aid and its vocational training programs through social media platforms.
Interested in Digital Accessibility Testing (DAT), Govardhan enrolled at the Vision-Aid Advanced Training Centre Chennai. At the training center, Vision-Aid provides visually impaired students with free lodging, food support, assistive technology education, placement assistance, and job oriented skill development programs designed to prepare them for professional careers.
While pursuing his training, Govardhan appeared for an interview at Sutherland Global Services for the role of Customer Support Associate and successfully cleared the interview process. After securing the opportunity, he decided to join the company. Vision-Aid further supported him by allowing him to continue his Digital Accessibility Testing course online at convenient timings alongside his job responsibilities.
Govardhan is grateful to Vision-Aid for its placement assistance, technical training, and continued support in helping him pursue his professional goals.
R. Suganya: Overcoming Vision Loss Through Education and Opportunity
Meet R. Suganya from Chennai. Suganya was born like any other child and studied in a mainstream school during her early years. However, while studying in the eighth grade, she unfortunately lost her vision due to an accident.
The sudden vision loss created significant challenges in her education. Since her parents were unfamiliar with assistive technology and Braille education, Suganya had to discontinue her studies for a few years. With guidance and support from well wishers, she later learned Braille and joined an integrated school where she successfully completed her schooling in 2017.
Determined to continue her education, Suganya completed her graduation from Presidency College Chennai and later pursued a Master’s degree in English from Queen Mary College Chennai in 2022.
To strengthen her employability skills, she pursued additional professional courses and later joined the BPO training course at Vision-Aid’s Advanced Training Centre Chennai in March 2025.
The training program helped her develop communication skills, workplace readiness, and confidence for corporate opportunities. After successfully completing the course, Vision-Aid supported her with placement assistance, helping her secure employment at Sutherland Global Services as a Customer Support Associate.
Suganya is deeply thankful to Vision-Aid for providing free training opportunities, career guidance, and placement support that helped her restart her professional journey with confidence and independence.
Banaconi Chandrakanth: Building a Career Through Skill Development
Meet Banaconi Chandrakanth from Telangana. Born with 100 percent visual impairment, Chandrakanth completed his schooling from an integrated school in 2015. He continued his academic journey with determination and successfully completed both his graduation and post graduation, earning his postgraduate degree in 2022.
After completing his education, Chandrakanth pursued several soft skill and computer training programs through various NGOs to improve his professional abilities and workplace readiness.
He later came to know about Vision-Aid through a WhatsApp group and enrolled in the Recruitment Training Course offered by Vision-Aid in May 2025.
The program focused on communication skills, interview preparation, workplace professionalism, and customer support training. Upon successful completion of the course, Vision-Aid assisted Chandrakanth in securing placement at Sutherland Global Services as a Customer Support Associate.
Chandrakanth is grateful for the training, encouragement, and placement support provided by Vision-Aid, which helped him confidently begin his professional career.
