World Sight Day 2016 celebrated at Vision Aid

World Sight Day 2016 was celebrated at Vision-Aid Visakhapatnam,  partner of Charity Aid Foundation(CAF), India, on Oct 13,2016.

The theme was Microsoft Tools for the visually impaired.

Prof. M.S.Raju of Vision-Aid and Prof. Sivaprasad Modu, who is visually impaired, of the Indian Navy led the discussions. Three Vision-Aid trainer Mr. Ramesh Kumar, Ms. Rama Devi and Ms. Pushpalatha along with 20 visually impaired scholars also participated in the discussion. 

A range of Microsoft applications were discussed. The ones that primarily discussed were MagnifierNarratorMicrosoft PowerPointNVDA (Non Visual Desktop Access) Microsoft OfficeMicrosoft Outlook  and Skype.  

The instructors gave useful insights on how these application could be used as effective tools for work and communication.
