Vision-Aid and LV Prasad Eye Institute have come together to setup a center of excellence at the LVPEI campus in Hyderabad, India. This was made possible with the generous support of Anuradha and Prashanth Palakurthi, in honour of their dear parents – Mrs. Vasantha Palakurthi and the late Dr. Krupasagar Palakurthi.

Sankara Nethralya

Vision-Aid’s collaboration with the Low Vision Clinic at Sankara Nethralaya/Medical Research Foundation started in July 2017 to provide free and subsidized low vision devices to the visually impaired “non-paying” patients. The collaboration has enabled a resplendent 895 patients to be benefitted by Vision-Aid in the past 5 years. The graph below illustrates the number of patients serviced across each quarter with Vision-Aid funds. Those 895 patients received 1266 aids in the form of spectacles, optical aids and non-optical aids.
