Overview
The Vision-Aid Resource Centre – Pune, established on 20 March 2026, is a dedicated residential employability and skill development centre for persons with visual impairments. Located at the Poona School and Home for Blind School Campus, Koregaon Park, Pune, the centre provides an accessible learning environment where students receive industry-focused training, assistive technology education, communication skills, career mentoring, and placement support under one roof. marking the beginning of a collaborative effort to create meaningful employment opportunities for persons with visual impairments.Currently, 10 students are enrolled in the residential training programme, while the centre has the capacity to accommodate 12 students.Through structured employability programmes and strong industry partnerships, the Pune Centre empowers learners to become confident, independent, and employment-ready.

Our vision is to empower persons with visual impairments by providing accessible education, employability training, assistive technology, and career opportunities that enable them to live independently with dignity. The Pune Resource Centre serves as a dedicated skill development hub, preparing visually impaired learners for meaningful careers through industry-aligned training, accessible technology, residential support, and an inclusive learning environment.
